Negative calorie food – a key to slimming or a myth of nutritionists?

Of course, foods with negative calorie content do not exist, but what does it mean when nutritionists use the expression “negative calorie food”? The fact is that there are occasions when the organism spends more energy from the process of digestion of a product, than it receives calories from this product. Thus, it turns out that we eat low calorie foods, but spend more calories to assimilate these products, due to the fact that the digestion requires much more energy expenditure than it is contained in the products themselves.

Of course, it is recommended to use the minimum of a thermal treatment so that the foods do not lose their useful properties, and there is more dietary fiber in raw vegetables than in boiled or stewed. The best option is to make different salads. Advisable to fill such salads by a sunflower or an olive oil, lemon juice or natural yogurt with no additives.
