Diet for immunity
Modern man is exposed to the negative influence of environment, climate changes and temperature drops. In addition, improper nutrition, stress and bad habits are also reflected on the state of our health. Primarily this concerns immunity. We often talk about how to improve it and in such a rainy winter, I want to raise this issue again.
I propose to start with the factors that inhibit the state of our immune system. Canned food, sweets with dyes and flavor enhancers belong to the banned products, as they weaken the immune system. Overeating has never been useful; it is one of the factors reducing immunity. Medications – some kinds of antibiotics, many pain relievers and corticosteroid preparations deprive us of energy and have a detrimental effect on the protective functions of the organism. The external factors – unfavorable environment. Such factors as car exhaust, pesticides in the early fruits and vegetables, drinking of contaminated water reduce the ability of our immune cells to absorb viruses, bacteria and cancer cells. Lovers of long sunbathing, be careful! Intensive tan leads to mutational changes of the cells. We can face danger even at home! Excessive sterility, dry air in the room, a large crowd of people – all of it is harmful. Do not forget about such bad habits as cigarettes and alcohol.
I want to offer top five recommended products that perfectly enhance immunity. Somehow we have already talked about them.
So, the first is sauerkraut. During the process of sourdough, the microorganisms, which are formed in cabbage, are not inferior to bifidobacteria contained in dairy products. Because of this, the cabbage has beneficial effects on the intestinal microflora, where the immune cells are formed.
Sauerkraut is a combination of vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin B complex and essential elements such as potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium and phosphorus. Some vitamins are produced exactly during fermentation of the product.
Garlic is a cure-all because it is a natural antibiotic. And it is not an exaggeration! Pythagoras even called garlic the king of spices. The composition of garlic include fiber, protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash, ascorbic acid, as well as a wide range of micro- and macroelements and vitamins. It is recommended to eat 1-2 cloves of garlic a day, as well as to use dry ground garlic as a seasoning for various dishes.
Sprouted grains of wheat or beans are powerful biological stimulants. Through a set of vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, and amino acids, it is one of the best natural vitamin-mineral complexes to maintain the body’s defenses. This increases operability and helps to normalize metabolic processes.
Black currant contains a large amount of vitamin C, as well as vitamins A, E, PP and various macro elements: potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium. It is recommended to take 100 grams of berries a day. Not only fresh berries are useful, you can use the defrosted currants, as well as preserves, jams and drinks.
And the fifth, very important element of healthy nutrition, is honey. It is also a natural antibiotic and a storehouse of vitamins B1, B2, B6, E, K, C, folic acid and provitamin A-carotene. The bees’ products are also rich in carbohydrates, which are required by the body during physical activity. Flower pollen is used as a general tonic means for the prevention of flu, colds and viral diseases.
So, the approximate menu of the diet:
Breakfast: 300 grams of milk and 100 grams of nuts.
Lunch: 200 grams of salad from vegetables, 200 grams of boiled beef, a slice of black bread, a cup of fruit juice.
Snack: a glass of kefir and a few dried fruits.
Dinner: 5 raw quail eggs, one apple and herbal tea.
