Properties of cabbage
Cabbage is an indispensable vegetable which is extremely useful for the human body. It contains pro vitamin A, vitamins C, B1, B2, B3, B6, K, and vitamin U, which is helpful for the prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers. Cabbage in any kind of cooking retains almost all of its nutritional and medicinal properties.
Cabbage juice perfectly cleanses the intestines and promotes weight loss. It also has medicinal properties and is used in case of tumors, constipation, chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcers, liver and spleen diseases, obesity. Cabbage juice should be taken 1-2 cups 2-3 times a day one hour before meal in warm form.
If you mix the juice of carrots and cabbage you will get a great source of vitamin C as a means of purification, particularly for infections of the gums, causing parodontosis.
Fresh cabbage juice with sugar is applicable for colds. It is used as an expectorant for coughs and hoarseness. You should take 1 teaspoon of such juice several times a day. A decoction of cabbage with honey is recommended for respiratory diseases.
It is recommended to put fresh cabbage leaves to the head with a headache and to the feet in the case of pain in joints.
Cabbage helps even with cancer of the stomach and intestines. In this case, a folk remedy is as follows – take a decoction of the seeds or the roots of cabbage; pour 1 tablespoon with 1 cup of boiling water; boil for 10 minutes and infuse it for 1 hour, then drain and take three times a day.
In the case of liver disease you should take a mixture of brine of sauerkraut and tomato juice 1/2 cup of each one.
The broth of cabbage, beets and carrots is used for infants suffering from rickets. It should be taken several times a day.
