Green tea diet

green-teaIt has long been not a secret that green tea speeds up metabolism, improves gastrointestinal tract, and importantly, promotes weight loss. But the disadvantage of this diet is that you won’t see an immediate effect. It’s not so much a diet as a mandatory inclusion of tea into your ration with pleasant consequences – weight loss about three kilograms per month. Green tea in this case is an important component of well-balanced nutrition. In addition to the physical activities you will achieve greater effect. Green tea contains such vitamins as D, E, K, B12, B3, B1 and nutrients: manganese, selenium, phosphorus and iron. It contributes to decrease blood sugar and normalizes cholesterol. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, so the use of this drink protects the body from many diseases and such serious as cancer. In addition, it’s a great helper for quenching thirst and keeping in tone.

Green tea contains caffeine which has an excellent stimulating effect on the body and promotes weight loss. Green tea diet will help you to lose up to 4 kg in a week. The essence of this diet is that you should drink 3-6 cups of green tea a day. But it should be noted that if you are suffering from any gastrointestinal diseases, it is recommended to drink tea only while eating. Your ration should include lean meat, vegetables, fruits, greens. Mandatory credit is to exclude pastries, sweets and canned food.

It is recommended to use high-quality leaf green tea. It is also extremely important how you brew it – the optimum temperature for tea brewing is 75-85 °, but in any case it is impossible to pour the boiling water, it will take away all the useful qualities of tea.


The approximate menu:

Breakfast: a cup of green tea, 200 gr. of yogurt or 250 ml. of milk, a few slices of black bread;

Snack: a cup of green tea and 30 gr. biscuits;

Lunch: a cup of green tea, 200 gr. rice with stewed vegetables;

Snack: 200 gr. of any fruit (except bananas and grapes);

Dinner: strawberries without sugar or any dried fruit.


Such a diet is contraindicated for people suffering from gout, arthritis and rheumatism, as well as for hypertensive persons, since green tea has a stronger tonic effect than coffee.
