Gluten-free dietGluten-free diet has been designed specifically for people who have gluten intolerance. Menu without gluten was approved for them as the main method of treatment of celiac disease. But such nutrition may also be useful for healthy individuals.

If you stick to such method of eating for a week, you can get rid of 3-4 kilograms of excess weight. But there is an important condition – immediately after the diet you shouldn’t eat buns with milk, it will invalidate the entire positive result. Two-three weeks at least you’ll have to limit yourself in using so tasty but unhealthy foods. This diet will help you not only to lose weight but also to cleanse the body and make your taste buds more sensitive. After the diet, it will be easier for you to live without large portions of gluten and you won’t want to eat pastries.

Basic principles of gluten-free nutrition are as follows. You need to exclude from a ration such products as wheat, oats, barley, rye, in any form – cereal, bread, breakfast cereals, baked goods, confectionery, flour, starch, sauces; as well as milk and soy. The next item is the exclusion of all products and semi-finished products that may contain gluten. Your gluten-free ration should be supplemented with vitamin-mineral complexes, which contain iron, folic acid, vitamin B, vitamin D, potassium.

If you don’t suffer from intolerance, and use this method of nutrition for weight loss, you do not have strictly to follow the rules – you are allowed to choose the products easier.

Products for the gluten-free diet include:

  • Vegetables and fruits (including potato)
  • All berries
  • Young white cheeses and cottage cheese
  • Meat (not semifinished)
  • Eggs
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Beans and other legumes
  • Vegetable oil and butter
  • Rice, buckwheat, corn

The menu is quite varied, and it won’t be so difficult for you to survive these days of restriction. But nevertheless, it can cause a lack of certain trace elements and vitamins. Therefore do not forget about vitamins and minerals as supplements to your ration.
