We can’t imagine our life without cheese. This is how we begin our day in the morning, putting it on the crispy croutons; we use it as a quick bite during the day; and we definitely use it as an appetizer to the delicious wine in the evening!

There is a huge variety of cheese types and ways of its preparation – hard and soft cheese, processed cheese, brined curd cheese, blue cheese, cheese with the addition of pieces of vegetables and spices. In addition to its taste properties, we often forget how useful it is for the body.

Cheese consists of proteins, milk fat, vitamins, extractive substances and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, zinc, iodine, selenium, iron, copper and potassium. Among the variety of vitamins there are А, В1, В2, В12, С, D, Е, РР. Their concentration is about 10 times higher than in milk, and thus 50 grams of cheese consumption comply with 0.5 liters of milk. The nutrients of cheese are easily digested and consumption of them is an integral part of vitally important biological fluids in the human body.

The cheese consumption has beneficial effects on skin, hair and nails, and vitamin A, which is contained in cheese, is useful for the vision. The vitamins B help to increase efficiency and produce energy. But it is important to remember that not all sorts of cheese are equally suited for everyone. Thus, blue cheese is not recommended for children and nursing mothers. Also, frequent consumption of cheese is not suitable for those who want to lose weight, because cheese is a high-calorie product. The consumption of cheese is recommended from approximately 9 to 11 AM and for the proper digestion it should have a room temperature.

Cheese_rollI would like to offer a recipe of cheese roll that is well suited to strengthen nails. According to prescription, it is a very piquant and tasty dish, which is easy in cooking and is calculated for six persons. You will need: 200 grams of cottage cheese, 250 grams of cream cheese, 250 grams of grated hard cheese, 2 finely chopped shallot stalks, 100 grams of black olives without pits, 1 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce, 3 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh mint, 1 tablespoon of poppy and sesame seeds, black ground pepper, salt, water.

Cream cheese and cottage cheese should be whisked with blender until smooth. Then mix it with grated hard cheese, olives, shallots, sauce and black pepper. Next, expand the foil on the table and place mint, sesame and poppy seeds on it. Put the resulting mass on the top and form a roll. Then, wrap it in a plastic bag and boil in salted water for a few minutes. This dish is recommended to serve with croutons or crackers.
