Carrot diet

Do you like carrots? carrot-saladIf not, you won’t like this diet =) Because carrot is the main ingredient of this menu. But it will help you lose up to 3.5 pounds in 4 days.

It’s no secret that carrot is a storehouse of vitamins. It contains carotene (provitamin A), vitamins D, E, K, B, pantothenic and ascorbic acids. This set of vitamins and nutrients strengthen the immune system, are useful for thyroid, eye and skin, remove toxins from the body, affect the blood clotting; carrot also contains fiber, which is necessary for normal functioning of the intestines and withdrawal of excess cholesterol.

But nevertheless, it is not a mono-diet. There are also some other products, but the main emphasis is on the carrots. So, the essence of the diet is in the salad. You will need 2 medium grated carrots, juice of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, half a teaspoon of honey, 1 fruit for your choice. It can be an apple, banana, orange or kiwi.

carrot-juiceThree days you should eat this salad for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and on the fourth day you can add 100 g of potatoes and a slice of bread. But you can vary the menu. 

In the morning, it is allowed to drink half a cup of kefir or milk, or eat a tablespoon of 10% sour cream. This will help the body to absorb nutrients derived from carrots. Instead of dinner it is permitted to drink carrot and fruit juice. And as usual, you should drink plenty of fluids – water, green tea or natural juices without sugar.

If you suffer from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the carrot diet is contraindicated for you, because carrot is rather rigid food for the stomach.
